Information pursuant to § 5 TMG and Art. 13 GDPR.

We appreciate your interest in our firm and our services. With this privacy notice we inform you, in accordance with Art. 13 GDPR, about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data and about your rights as a data subject.

1. General overview

Personal data is any information that allows a person to be identified directly or indirectly. The following points provide a structured overview of which data we collect, for what purpose it is processed and on what legal basis this is done.

2. How we collect your data

Some of your data is collected because you actively provide it to us — for example through contact forms, in mandate enquiries or for identity verification in the course of mandate acceptance. Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit our website (e.g. browser type, time, IP address, operating system).

3. What data we process

Information from contact forms (e.g. name, email, telephone, company details), technical access data (e.g. IP address, browser information, timestamps), cookie and tracking data — in particular for the use of analytics tools such as Google Analytics — mandate data for the legal handling of the respective contract matter, and newsletter data in the context of registration and management.

4. Legal bases

Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR – consent; Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR – performance of contractual obligations; Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR – legal obligations; Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR – legitimate interest (e.g. IT security, fraud prevention).

5. Newsletter

When you sign up for our newsletter we store your email address and technical log data to demonstrate consent (double opt-in). The data is processed solely to send relevant legal information and firm announcements.

6. Payment data & encryption

When you transmit fee-related data (e.g. IBAN for a fee statement), the transmission takes place over secured SSL/TLS connections. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address bar ("https://") and the lock icon in your browser.

7. Automated decision-making

We do not use any automated decision-making procedures or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
